Bio

Andrew J. Calis teaches at Archbishop Spalding High School in Maryland. His first book of poetry Pilgrimages (Wipf & Stock) is widely available at bookstores, and he has another collection of poetry, "Which Seeds Will Grow?" forthcoming from Paraclete Press.

His work has been featured in The Atlantic and elsewhere, and he has won or been a finalist for several prizes including the Best of the Net. He lives outside of Baltimore with his family.
